Reddit User HolyFuror recently posted a screenshot of their experiences in Diablo 4. highlighting the microtransactions that are available for Gems along with Legendary Crests. Legendary Crests can be used to unlock Elder Rifts which are available in Diablo Diablo 4. which assists players who are higher level to earn Legendary Gems required to empower the game's most powerful gear. If players in Diablo 4 collect 50 Legendary Crests, they can trade the Crests to get a 5-Star guaranteed Gem, but HolyFuror has made it clear that this does not mean that the gem will be given an all-five-star rating.
HolyFuror has created an image showing some Diablo 4 microtransactions and why players won't receive a 5 out of 5-Star Gem when they exchange 50 Legendary Crests in exchange for the guarantee Gem. The image demonstrates this. Diablo 4 fans may expect to receive the 5 out of 5-Star Gem based off the in-game terminology, but Activision Blizzard has already mentioned in the shop's overview why this isn't the case. If Diablo 4 players exchange the Legendary Crests to get the 5-Star Gem, it could be worth anything between five and one star, and will fall to RNG.
The official Activision Blizzard language displayed in the shop overview states that the guaranteed gem comes with an ? five out of five value and the probability estimates are 2 out of five as 75% likely with a 5-star being 1%. HolyFuror has calculated that in order for the Diablo 4 player to receive an out of five-star Gem by using this Legendary Crest method, they would buy an average of 1.553 packs, which costs $3.451.11. Based on the potential luck involved with this method, and the expense of fully gearing up for Diablo 4 costing as much as an automobile, players who accumulate Legendary Crests could attempt to collect Legendary Gems through Elder Rifts instead.
