It could be one of the most entertaining gaming stories I've heard in the last year as well as a fantastic chef's kiss moment to the gacha/p2w market, with one of the worst offenders, Diablo Immortal.
Although it's been determined that it will take north of $100,000 to full the maximum of a single character in Diablo Immortal with the possibility of gambling or leveling gems with high rarity, few people have actually invested that much. However, someone did, and, now, it seems like he's spent enough to make his character as strong as it can be, that the game's PvP matchmaking system has been unable to locate anyone to match him against.
The same happened to Jtisallbusiness, who spent $100,000 to max his Barbarian maximum However, he did end having so many wins, the game just...stopped matching him up because of his ridiculous MMR, and he says that he'll be waiting for anywhere from 48 to 72 hours waiting for the next game. He uploaded the video below asking if he could attempt to get the money back on his $100K bank account as this section of the game no longer worked for him effectively. The game is currently averaging 1.5K liked and 15,000 dislikes. it's not attracting an audience to support him:
It's possible that a solution for this is on the way according to Blizzard has expressed concern about the fact that certain players have difficulty finding matches in Battleground PvP In the course of more than a month Jitsallbusiness declared that Blizzard finally did respond to him with regards to it. However, it's not clear what happens when they start putting him in matches again with such a good character and, if so, is it likely that he'll lose the amount he's put into. The commenters on the site said that when this scenario was unfolding that this could be what happens after you "win" a pay-to-win game.
