U4GM Arc Raiders PvE Test Could Make Solo Looting Easier

For solo players collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints, a quieter extraction experience could make progression feel less dependent on encounters with strangers. Embark has scheduled a limited PvE matchmaking test for October 13-20, 2026, offering an alternative to standard PvPvE sessions rather than a permanent replacement. The question is whether reduced pressure will make each trip more satisfying.

More Room to Learn and Explore

The clearest difference is that PvE sessions will have no player-to-player damage. That should let solo players spend less attention judging another Raider's intentions and more attention planning their next move. It could also make an interrupted quest feel like an environmental challenge rather than a confrontation.

For anyone still learning routes, that breathing room could be valuable. If Pendola Pass is available within the test's matchmaking pool, exploring unfamiliar approaches and checking potential escape paths could become easier without another player turning every pause into a dangerous decision.

However, PvE does not mean a private session. Solos, duos, and trios will share matches, so players entering alone should not expect a world reserved exclusively for them. The interesting possibility is cooperation without the constant question of whether an encounter will become hostile.

Steadier Progress Comes With a Trade-Off

A calmer session could appeal most to players with a specific task in mind. Finding materials, reaching an objective, and leaving with useful supplies may feel more manageable when other Raiders cannot directly damage you. That predictability could make shorter play sessions feel worthwhile.

There is an important economic limit, though: overall loot value will be lower in PvE to account for its relative safety. Players should therefore distinguish between more comfortable scavenging and better rewards. The quieter option is not necessarily the most efficient way to build a valuable inventory.

A sensible approach would be to compare complete sessions rather than individual finds. Consider how much useful material reaches your stash, how often objectives get finished, and whether the experience leaves you wanting another run. Enjoyment matters alongside the value of each extraction.

Less Pressure, Different Stakes

Removing hostile player encounters could also soften the emotional weight of carrying valuable equipment. For some solo players, that would encourage experimentation. For others, it might remove the uncertainty that makes a successful escape memorable.

The strongest argument for the toggle is choice, not superiority. PvE could suit an evening spent exploring, while standard matchmaking could remain preferable when unpredictable encounters are the main attraction.

This remains a temporary experiment: the toggle is scheduled to disappear when the test ends, and a permanent PvE option is not promised. Treat the week as an opportunity to evaluate a different rhythm of play.

Ultimately, whether you are researching cheap ARC Raiders BluePrints or simply seeking calmer solo runs, judge the test by how rewarding the journey feels, not just how safely you return.
