Essential Tips for Gathering Lair Boss Materials in Diablo 4

In Diablo 4, Lair Bosses at different levels drop unique boss materials required to unlock their loot chests. These bosses are categorized as Initiate, Greater, and one Exalted boss named Belial, Lord of Lies.

Each boss drops a specific material necessary for opening their treasure chests: Girgoire gives Living Steel, Beast in the Ice drops Distilled Fear, Duriel gives Shard of Agony, and the top-tier Belial needs Betrayer's Husk.

The most efficient way to farm these materials starts with collecting Undercity Tributes by engaging in Helltides. Defeat Blood Maidens and open Helltide Chests to collect Tributes of Titans, which boost your future material drops buy Diablo 4 Items.

Summoning Blood Maidens with Baneful Hearts raises your chances for these drops, while completing “Whispers in Helltides” grants Whisper Caches that can contain Tributes too.

Once you have enough Tributes of Titans, run the Kurast Undercity dungeon repeatedly. Use the Tributes to increase how many boss materials you earn after clearing the bosses there. Without the Vessel of Hatred DLC, focus on farming Blood Maidens during Helltides as your best alternative.
