It has been dramatically improved here
A lot of the issues in the field have been sorted out very well for example, run defense which was impossible to stop in last year's entry however, it has been dramatically improved here. Open field tackles appear better and have less ridiculous tackles.
The opponents appear as super-heroes who leapt through the air. It's much easier to master basic movements using the proper stick. This makes it much easier to stay away from opponents and allow for more smooth running.
The game is among the worst entries in the Madden series in recent times, and that is quite a statement, considering that the year had headless players roaming around and massive glitches where huge lines would run across screen as if players were playing on an old plasma TV.
The thing that is the most frustrating about the relentless amount of bugs is that it can cause issues with the gameplay because if a frame rate drops at a specific time that causes players to miss an opportunity to catch or even an opportunity to kick.
The biggest improvement in the transition between NFL 21 & NFL 20 is, without a doubt, the improved graphics. It's almost as though the players actually are watching a game when the zoom is increased. The characters on the sideline appear like PS2 NPCs and fans sitting in bleachers still look like cardboard cutouts, the models of the characters are so detail-oriented and seem to be cutting edge.
