EA has updated Madden 22's rosters for Week 3 in order to reflect the week 2's performance. This week's update didn't bring any big surprises, however certain notable players got improvements in their ratings.
It was notable that there was a 2 point rise in Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski's overall rating. He's gone from an 86-percent launch rate to an 89 overall rating within only two weeks. And honestly, he's deserving of this. Gronk has already amassed 12 receptions, 129 yards and four touchdowns in the span of two weeks. Gronk is playing at his best and I believe this will not be the last time he receives high ratings.
Tyrann Mathieu Kansas City Chiefs safety is another popular name who has seen ratings increase. Mathieu has been out since Week 1 due to a positive COVID testing the season's first game on Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. And what a performance it was with Honey Badger recording two interceptions that he returned for the score of a touchdown. Mathieu's Awareness rating and catch rate rose by one point to a 99 & an 82 respectively. Overall, his score stands at 96.
After a rebound performance in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, Titans running back Derrick Henry saw some ratings adjusted although he still sits at 95 overall. Henry's launch rating was a surprise to some fans who thought he was a top running back in the league. With 182 yards of rushing in Week 2 and three touchdowns, he definitely proved his worth. Henry's catching was up two points against 64, however his break tackle fell to a surprising 92.
