The WOW money train keeps rolling
The WOW money train keeps rolling. They discussed What they discussed was Selling! Merchandising! Merchandising! Yogurt's famed (infamous?) phrases of Spaceballs were the title of the game played at the World of Warcraft : Epic Loot panel, which was responsible for Blizzard's sole presence during the 2010 Comic-Con held in San Diego today.
Since comics are the main entertainment medium at the convention, the majority of the discussion was handed to Kanalz. It was revealed that the World of Warcraft comic line has shifted from a weekly publication to a greater emphasis on graphic novels and special miniseries. So, Kanalz discussed the first new miniseries that will be focused on the Worgen which is a brand new race to be introduced as part of the third expansion of WOW, Cataclysm.
It's called Curse of the Worgen, the story is being written by Micky Neilson and James Wong, and it will be focused on fleshing out the brand-new Wolfman race ahead of Cataclysm's release later this year.
Kanalz also announced an original graphic novel that will focus on the Alliance and the Alliance, which is created by Mike Costa and ties in to the origins of the Worgen. The Horde isn't going to be denied either, since a second graphic novel focusing on WOW's dark side is in the works, thanks to the writer Doug Wagner.
Concept art was only shown mostly that of Taurens and Orcs and Kanalz also presented what looked like mock-ups of another project that incorporated that Pandaren character.
