There are more choices than ever before
Regarding the Necromancer obviously, a character with a long-standing legacy to it, however I'm sure that a lot of fans are going to be hoping to see something completely new rather than being able to see a return character. What was the thought procedure behind bringing back Necromancer rather than saying, "Here's something that no one's ever experienced before?"
Shely is: Well, in many manners, Diablo 4 is a love letter to our fans. We've really focused on this theme of returning to darkness. And we know that when we develop the Diablo game, players will are expecting a lot from D2: R, Diablo and prior Diablo experiences that they've enjoyed.
So , we're aware that there are a lot of things that have to be in place. Also, when we're considering the classes themselves, we wanted to ensure that the experiences that players remembered fondly from earlier Diablo games were offered in addition to bringing them into the most modern versions of themselves.
and Diablo 4 is really all about choices. There are more choices than ever before , thanks to your classes. They're now more flexible than ever. Even with the Necromancer, as an example, you're able to enjoy options like full character customization.
Also, we've got our distinctive class feature that is called the Book of the Dead, that allows you to personalize and have a lot of options regarding how your minions are placed on the battlefield, the minion you own and how they behave. Also, if you wish to have minions at all.
Fergusson: Yeah. They can be sacrificed, right? To make yourself more powerful in your shadow. That's what I love about the new Necromancer; [it's] really an idea that revolves around choice. I'm an avid Necro player and I constantly feel like, "Oh, I've got the skeletons, and I've got mages. Oh, I've got Golems."
