When you look at the content of Diablo 4

Fergusson Fergusson: Well, I think it's hilarious. Sometimes, perception can be a reality and when we talk about Diablo 4 being the culmination of the franchise, that's because it wants to respect the past.

When you look at the content of Diablo 4. I've been using the formula that feels like the darker tone from Diablo 1. it's the development in Diablo 2. it's the battle for the visceral part of Diablo.

It also has its own unique innovation in Diablo 4 with the shared open world and all the other things we have discussed in relation to the player's choice. I think one aspect I talked about in comparison Diablo 2 Diablo 2 is different is the idea of what's unique to your character and the equipment you use. You're not just changing your clothes to alter your look.

However, I think that part of that is because some players felt that Diablo could be a bit brighter than , say, the two previous entries. It also, in some ways has made the game more accessible, because more than 65 million people had played the game. So people go, "Oh, it doesn't feel D1 or D2. And 65 million players played it. This is a great game to play."

But that's why when we speak of "return to darkness" I'm thinking it's the idea of honoring the past , and asking what do you want to see represented as a cult classic vibe in giving ourselves permission to go a little darker.

I think people are going to be amazed when they visit D4. If they watch some of these cutscenes pop up, it's like "Oh I thought they meant it by saying return into darkness."
