Are you able to say that Blizzard independent
Are you able to say that Blizzard independent enough to say, 'We don't think we're making a sound decision, therefore we're going to end itand then we're going to go back to the design board ... it's possible that you will not get another game from us for five, ten years or whatever it could be?' Do you find yourself in the position where you could do that?
You know, there were some questions that I asked me when Mike stated, "Hey, you should consider taking on this job." There were a handful of questions I had for him and a handful of questions I had for Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activisionand all the others working at Activision Blizzard. The topic you're addressing is a topic that's important to what it means to be a Blizzard, both from an developer perspective and also from a the community and fan's viewpoint.
This is what I'm going declare. As we sit here, we are about to have The Diablo League Finals, which was created together with the people at Activision Blizzard, and the desire that they have is the same as the one we share that is to see our games viewed and enjoyed by millions of players all over the world.
We may have different ways of thinking about how we reach that goal, but our goals are like and closely aligned with them. The concern from a fan perspective is if there's any point at which it seems like Diablo League will not be able to sustain the level of enthusiasm it requires, does Activision immediately shift its focus to "Well, you've got to do another thing to do,"
And that's where the clash of ideologies may take place, and it could be like,"Well it's true that we're in a manner where you might not get another Diablo for another 10-years." Are you still at a point where you make the decisions on your gamesand don't be given instructions on how to make them or be forced to produce them in a different method in order to meet the demands.
