While the Diablo games are known because of their PC existence, Blizzard has confirmed Diablo Immortal will be strictly a mobile game--a fact that was a source of tension in the days before it was revealed. However, despite that staggering level of controversy, Blizzard has remained firm that Immortal will only be accessible for Android in addition to iOS. If you're waiting for a new PC or console game, you can rest assured that Diablo IV is currently in the works.
Revealed during BlizzCon 2018. Diablo Immortal's first trailer didn't reveal much gameplay, possibly causing the amount of suspicion already experienced by fans of the mobile-only game. However, what Blizzard did display was a brief trailer explaining the basic premise of the game. It involves teaming up with other players to remove malignant crystals referred to as Worldstone shards.
On December 20, 2020. We finally had the opportunity to experience some Diablo Immortal game play as we participated the game's alpha closed test and played its first 25 minutes. And, later, during BlizzCon 2021. we got an update to the game set to release later in the year. We also got more information regarding Immortal's gameplay, as well as classes.
If you're one of the Diablo fans who simply can't not get enough of the dark world of Sanctuary you'll be glad to know that Diablo Immortal actually extends the time Between Diablo 2 and Diablo a slightly more than we've seen. Set five years after the events of Diablo 2. Immortal is set within the city of Wortham.
A small, sleepy village with hardly any consequence at all--until it is attacked by hordes of cultists as well as the undead.
