Wind Steed is technically a reskinned Horseman's Steed The designers put in enough effort to make it look and feel somewhat distinct. The Legion Paladin Charger, on contrary, is more like Horseman's Steed. However it is distinctive enough to qualify as Reskin.

Are you referring to fel armaments or arcane tomes? I resigned from both BFA and Shadowlands within the first month, but I don't remember being in a position to buy an exalted rep. It's a fact that it was only available in classic and tbc . But sure it's retail that has that rep problem.

A run from say... Shatt to Auchindoun is probably lower than Kargath to Blackrock Mountain. I'm not convinced it'd be a problem. The only thing they would need to do is completely eliminate or redesign the flying only areas. Teleporter up/down at most.

Fly to Ruuan Weald and then head down the ramp until Gruul in Blade’s Edge. Netherstorm is a possibility to take a flight to Cosmowrench. I don't know, but I think that flight paths would be relevant in the event of no flying mounts.

If Blizzard made WoW today, then it won't be called WoW. It's likely to be an Overwatch MMO, or something completely different. The team hasn't done anything with Warcraft in a long period of time (besides hearthstone, which also would be something different).
