During a search related to a suspected burglary, Vanderbilt police officers detected signal jammers.
Sheriff Robinson emphasized that the device was designed to turn off Wi-Fi cameras, ring doorbells, and security systems utilizing radio-based sensors. The only conceivable reason for owning such a device, according to the sheriff, is for engaging in nefarious activities and unlawful behavior.

It has been confirmed by authorities that there is no law against possessing a signal jammers, but utilizing it is considered a federal crime.

Sheriff Robinson indicated that the next action to take is to have discussions with lawmakers. He pointed out that Indiana currently lacks a statute specifically addressing interference with communications, a gap that he believes should be addressed. Robinson stated his intention to collaborate with state legislators to address this loophole.

It has been confirmed by the sheriff's office that the source of the issue lies in an alleged daytime burglary that took place in the Cambridge Village neighborhood.

Two individuals are suspected of using advanced technology to target a home.

According to reports from deputies, a couple returned home on Sunday to find two strange men inside.

The authorities have confirmed that both suspects absconded in a gray Jeep, fleeing from the location.

The deputies' timely presence at the scene led to the arrest, with credit given to a FLOCK camera obtained by Cambridge Village through the sheriff’s office.

Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputies, acting on a report of burglary, intercepted Jaime Riveras, a citizen of Chile, on Highway 41.

It was conveyed by Sheriff Robinson that Riveras indicated he did not stop in Evansville en route to Florida from St. Louis.

Sheriff Noah Robinson declared that, in addition to eyewitness accounts, a search warrant was secured for all items in the vehicle. This led to the discovery of two cellphones, which revealed GPS data points indicating that the suspect's vehicle was at the Riveras' residence during the burglary.

Riveras is accused of several charges, one of them being interference with the reporting of a crime for allegedly using a GPS blockers.
