In the case of Madden's gameplay, game is still in need of getting better, and it's important to be able to outweigh marketing buzzwords, especially when we're talking about the next generation of consoles coming soon. Although this might be the final game on current systems, EA is trying to get themselves ready to compete in the future of gaming. To be successful EA must revisit and tweak certain of the game's best features.
