Lumbridge was the scene. I was talking with X who was a moderator for games. Some players started asking questions of him and then I received a private message saying that I had been chosen to be a player moderator. It was a shock and a joyous feeling I experienced initially. Then I thought back to scams where Jagex was claimed to have been involved. I inquired with X about the scam, and he asked me a few questions. (I don't recall specific details however, it's likely regarding how I got it.
I informed the person that it was likely an enticement. The player wanted to be aware of. While I was writing about the scam, she/he suddenly lost connection or logged off. I ignored the private message and went on with my daily life. After I log off, I began to wonder whether Jagex was the person who had slammed me and denied me the chance to be a moderator. Could it be that Jagex was actually the person who private messaged me? Since my first game, I have been playing with reported players. I tried to be as helpful as I could, but it appears that the message was not true.
Edit: The person who claimed that I had been accepted as a moderator for the player was named Y. The full name of the moderator that I spoke to in Lumbridge was X.
I'll include my name in my list of friends and also the name of the person who messaged me. To respond to them, I added the person to my Friends List. I am sorry to have broken any of the rules. This site is fantastic and I'm hoping I'm not causing any problems by asking stupid questions. Sorry if you think this is a stupid question.
