U4GM How to Clear The Runeseeker in Path of Exile 2

Patch 0.5.0 makes PoE2 feel less like a random wander and more like a planned grind, and that changes how I'd spend early PoE2 Currency when rolling a fresh character.

Act 1 now matters more than it used to
The Runeseeker quest is the early anchor. Don't skip it, even if you're rushing. Farrow's chain starts there, the Lost Catacombs points you toward the Starlit Rite, and the Verisium Anvil unlocks the crafting path that keeps growing through the campaign. The annoying bit is the Starlit Rite icon. It may stay uncrossed after the first step. That looks scary. It isn't. If Farrow's quest state moves forward, keep going.

What to do first
Small rule of thumb: follow Farrow before chasing side noise. It saves backtracking later, and it teaches the new Remnant loop before maps start throwing choices at you.

1. Clear Lost Catacombs and finish the Runic Vault step.
2. Spend early Verisium on armour you'll actually wear.

Runes, Remnants, and that new defensive layer
Remnants are simple on the surface. You slot Runic Recipes, pick Runeshapes, then fight the waves you created. More shapes means more waves, more modifiers, and better odds at useful crafting outcomes. Verisium is the confirmed metal that drops from these encounters, while Starlit Ore is still a shaky name from third-party chatter. I'd treat Verisium as the real planning resource. Runic Ward is also worth testing, especially on armour builds. Below level 55 it's clean value. Above that, you trade some base defense for the ward, so don't click blindly.

The endgame is less messy now
The Atlas reset sounds rough, but the new fixed hubs help a lot. You're not praying for every mechanic to appear in the right map chain anymore.

Delirium is clearer, but not kinder
The new fog bar is a real upgrade. You can see depth, time, and the rough direction toward the boss instead of guessing like before. Loathsome Mire, though, catches people out. It's an area level 80 Delirium zone with no XP gain, no item drops, and no league tablet drops. So no, it's not a farm spot in the normal sense. Go there for progression and unlocks, not bags of loot. The two new amulet bases and Potent emotion systems are the interesting part, but the full loot spread still needs better confirmation.

Atlas habits that actually pay off
Masters of the Atlas also changed the routine. Jado, Hilda, and Doryani's Science each bring twelve nodes, but only four can be active per master.

1. Swap master nodes before opening the map.
2. Fill tablet slots if you want fewer surprises.

Build choices feel different in 0.5.0
Leech no longer rewards absurd hit scaling forever, since only one instance per resource applies and hits above 40,000 are capped for leech math. Deflection now caps at 95%, too. Totems changed hard because Ancestral Bond doubles the limit, removes charge needs, and makes each totem reserve 75 Spirit. Martial Artist and Spirit Walker add fresh build routes, while Minion Splash support finally gives minion strike builds a cleaner map feel.
